Carpet may not be the best choice for the man cave, unless its outdoor/marine carpet that stands up well to moisture. PVC tiles with diamond-top finish come in a range of colors, so you can create dynamic checkerboard designs, or go solid in the middle with a contrasting border. Decorative chip epoxy floors are very durable and they look fantastic. Engineered wood floors handle humidity and moisture much better than solid wood and the wear layer is available in dozens of beautiful woods and finishes. Laminate like Pergo is a great alternative.
